Model Railways 00 Gauge-Cautious Claytons-Type 17 Diesels
This is the latest reincarnation of Heljan's ill fated Class 17 the first batch which by all accounts was disasterous with many suffering burnt out motors. However this one is from the newly arrived batch from Hattons in Liverpool arriving a couple of days ago and I have to say runs superbly with a powerful 5 pole motor. I didn't realise but apparently Heljan do their own tooling for their models and then have them manufactured in China.
Model Railways 00 Gauge-Continental Capers (Clip Ref MR5)
german 043 315-1 runs a trainload of tankers between Hollyoak and Angeltown east. On my layout continental Loco’s are often welcome visitors.
Model Railways-The Milk Train
The milk train is hauled by an ex GWR 28XX 2-8-0 with a mixture of Dapol and Hornby(ex Lima) six wheel vehicles together with some older four wheeled Hornby models.
MODEL RAILWAYS 00 GAUGE- COUNTY CLASS AND CLERESTORY COACHES
A lovely super detailed Hornby County Class 4-4-0 loco hauling three clerestory coaches round the layout.
MODEL RAILWAYS 00 GAUGE-”TWO OLD LADIES RETURN TO SERVICE -THE TRIANG L1′S”
These two old Triang 4-4-0 L1’s have been restored to running order after many years. Both have odd tenders fitted a GWR and LNER respectively and tender pickups on the inside loco, tender pickups will be fitted on the leading loco shortly. They have scale driving wheels instead of the old course Triang ones and generally speaking give a good account of themselves taking their age into account as they are at least forty years old. I still have another two of these loco’s in store in green livery to be taken care of sometime I can’t bear to part with them.
