Model Railroading Unlimited Pt 1 16mm film : Probably the funniest film made on model railroading. This overview of railroading has everything from how to get started to the operation of a computerized train layout that puts all trains at full throttle when a power surge disrupts operations. This film has everything from trains, musical numbers and railroad dancing girls!
Here’s another review of this film : In this imaginative film produced for Kalmbach Publishing, we are given a description of model railroading and the many sizes these toy trains come in. Hosted by Walt Disney animator and train collector Ward Kimball, we are given a very humorous view of the hobby. This copy came from a old vhs 1985 film to video transfer.

This model railroad video shows tons of toy trains at the LOXX Miniaturwelten in Berlin (at their new location in the Alexa shopping center at the Alexanderplatz). That is one of the biggest model railroad sceneries/ layouts in the world, completely digitally controlled.

As to the music: Yes, I know – the original sound would be nicer!!! But the background noise with yelling kids etc. simply was too disturbing!

An overall video of action on the layout. All three trains consist of AtlasO reefers, about 150 in total. The outside track has the MTH Premier GN Z-6 Challenger 4-6-6-4, GN R-2 2-8-8-2 and the GN S-2 Northern 4-8-4. The middle track has an MTH Premier PRR K4s Pacific 4-6-2 pulling and another K4s pushing. The third track has the MTH Premier PRR L1 Mikado 2-8-2 pulling and the PRR B28 0-6-0 pushing. On November 24 and 25, a model railroad exhibition took place at Lahnstein (Germany) where miscellaneous toy trains, Model Railroad/railway Layouts and sceneries were shown.
Almost all scales and types of toy train layouts were present: H0 Scale, 0 Scale, Z Scale and Narrow gauge scales.
